FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The very first question we ask every student is do they have any injuries, aches or pains that we should be aware of. This way we know what adaptations we can make as we teach the class and pay attention to some of the newer students.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Juliette & Jonathan who are the owners of the studio have combined over 50 years of experience and training. Although no spring chickens, they are extremely knowledgable 200 & 500 hr. Yoga Alliance certified teachers, as well as Juliette being an expert and certified teacher for her 85 hr. Prenatal teacher Training Program. Jonathan received his training through Yoga Works and Eric Shiffman was his teacher. Juliette was certified through White Lotus Foundation, Ganga White and Tracy Rich as well as studied with Anna Forrest, John Friend, Mr YIyengar himself and Shandor Remete.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

A single class is $17. A 6 class reg. series is $75. A 6 class Prenatal series is $80. An 8 class reg. series is $90. An 8 class Prenatal series is $95. We also offer student discounts and $10 Community classes on Sat.'s.

How did you get started teaching?

By putting up cards about my services. I was offered a job immediately after one of my trainings.

What types of students have you worked with?

Al types, as we ARE the OLDEST east side Yoga Studio! We will start our 22nd year next May 2017.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

A Parent & me class that accommodated over 27 people, parents, babies, partners, Moms, stuffy animals, all doing Yoga together in the chaos!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure they understand what your ailments or conditions are. Ask them if they know how to work from a therapeutic level.
