At Catherine's Music Studio, we strive continuously to further the musical journey of all our students. I pride myself on being a patient teacher, and understand that everyone's growth and progression happens differently. I take the time to listen to my students, and encourage them to set their own goals, and go far beyond where they think they can reach. It's always an incredible feeling to see an individual go past where they thought they ever could in music - music itself can have that effect on just about anyone, and it's a real treat to be able to see its power in action day after day.

My daughter has been taking piano lesson with Miss Catherine since she was 7 years old. She is turning 16 this year. Miss Catherine plays an important role in my daughter’s music journey. She is not only a piano teacher, she is also a mentor to my daughter. She encourages her through the up and down of piano learning process and help her to reach beyond what she thinks she can reach. My daughter now can play various music styles, from Beethoven concerto to Gershwin, even the Korean pop songs she downloads from the internet.

I thank for all the efforts Miss Catherine has put into teaching her students. Through these years, my daughter has learned so much from her. We really appreciate her because SHE CARES.

I could never sing my favorite songs because of the high notes. I had a hard time reaching them. So I searched for singing lessons near Irvine and found Catherines Music Studio.

I used to be so embsarrassed singing in front of people. Catherine helped me develop and drastically increased my vocal range. I had been singing the wrong way all this time! Catherine taught me the proper way to sing a high note. She helped me build confidence and overcome my fear of my singing in front of people. She made me reslize that I could do much more than I thought I could. I am also learning how to play chords on the piano to accompany the songs that I am learning to sing now. Thank you so much, Catherine!

Ms. Catherine has been my piano teacher for twelve years, and I am glad she has been there throughout my entire journey in music. She coached me to pass the ABRSM Grade 8 Exam and is exeremely talented in teaching not only piano, but also singing and music theory. She has high expectations for her students, but is patient and understanding when it comes to getting them to the level where she wants them to be. Wether I want to learn to play a difficult classic or a pop song by ear, she gives impeccable instruction on both reading sheet music and listening to chords and harmonies. The lengths she goes to in order to meet her students needs only shows her unwavering dedication and passion for teaching. Best music teacher Ive had in my life!
