My name is Luis Mendez, and I am a classically trained pianist, vocalist, and multifaceted musician with over 12 years of teaching experience. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from San Diego State University and have taught music across multiple grade levels, from Transitional Kindergarten through 3rd grade, as well as private lessons for youth and adults.

I specialize in making music education accessible, engaging, and fun. Whether it’s piano, voice, or general music, I focus on building strong foundations while encouraging creativity and confidence. My approach blends classical training with modern methods, tailored to meet each student’s individual goals—whether they are just starting out, preparing for performances, or looking to grow as lifelong musicians.

I am passionate about empowering students through music and have worked with hundreds of learners across school settings, private lessons, and community programs. My goal is always to foster not just technical skills, but also a love and joy for music that lasts a lifetime.
