Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Usually I ask a student about the goal she/he would like to reach, about their project, and give them options how we can accomplish it. I always try to give understanding how to manipulate patterns or fabrics to make a desire style. Also as a professional pattern making and technical designer, I lead through the entire sewing process to teach the sequence of making each project ( sewing, overlocking, ironing, using proper types of interlock, etc.)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor: Pattern maker/ technical designer.
MBA: Management in sewing manufacturing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$40 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
After running my own atelier for over 10 years I got a request to teach from one of my customers, and I loved that! Since then I am practicing teaching. Enjoy watching how people learn and how happy they are when making their own clothing.
