Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my experience came from playing classical music with my school orchestras while growing up, along with playing in the string orchestra at Mt. San Antonio College for 3 years. After graduation from Cal Poly Pomona, I went on to play for more events such as weddings and featuring in an Indie/Folk album titled "Little Bird" by Kelly Grandmaison!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching violin lessons at a local music store during my senior year of high school and continued teaching private lessons while juggling other jobs throughout my undergrad. I owe much of my knowledge in teaching to my mentors who took me under their wings at the time.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students from all ages and different backgrounds. We've explored music all the way from the classical era to contemporary and pop music! Working with a variety of students has helped me tailor a curriculum that’s specific to your needs in establishing a basic knowledge of music and the violin or viola.
