Jordyn Krenkel

Hi, my name is Jordyn Krenkel and I am a bassist, pianist, vocalist, and producer located in Los Angeles, California. I play for local bands and artists in venues throughout LA. I attended the University of Southern California and studied popular music performance and music industry. I have recorded and written with various artists and producers throughout my career. I have appeared in the backing band for Disney's Electric Bloom and alongside Teddy Swim in the "Gone, Gone, Gone" music video. I have also played with artists such as The War and Treaty, Amber Riley, Ledisi, and Mickey Guyton for Country Music Television.

In terms of my teaching style, I aim to cater to where the student's skill level currently stands. I focus on being able to continuously develop a student's ear, theory knowledge, technique, and sight-reading. While working in these areas, I like to connect with the student on their individual goals and what they want to work on in their lessons. Over the years I have been taught and gotten to play with various teachers such as Reggie Hamilton, Freddie Washington, Abraham Laboriel, Alphonnso Johnson, Patrice Rushen, Paul Jackson Jr., and Rhonda Smith. Through their teachings and my own experience I know what makes a great music teacher and how to bring what the student envisions for themselves to life.
