Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Music Lessons should be fun! I teach piano, voice, and theory through fun games that your child will love but also will learn alot from in the process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a student at the University of Southern California and I am studying Music Business. I took voice and piano lessons all throughout my life and it paid off since I now am able to keep studying music in college.
How did you get started teaching?
I use to teach piano and voice at Leading Note Studios, a music school in San Diego.
What types of students have you worked with?
For Piano and Voice, I primarily work with younger children. The years 4 - 12 has been the average. If you child is older and needs help with an upcoming audition, I have the right tools and expertise for that as well. I have taken Theory lessons throughout highschool and college and primarily teach that to older children.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone you want to spend time with. You will see your teacher at least once a week and you want to be able to enjoy their company as well as learn.
