About
I received my Bachelors, Masters, and Graduate Performance Diplomas in Violin Performance from The Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
Prior to joining the first violin section of the Pacific Symphony, I regularly performed with the National Symphony, Washington National Opera, Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra as a guest musician.
As a former adjunct faculty member at Howard Community College, I also have 10+ years of teaching privately, adjudicating for festivals/competitions, and coaching orchestra sectionals and chamber music groups. I have worked with students of different levels and ages; students preparing for conservatory auditions, competitions, and youth orchestras.
Working with students and hope to be a positive influence in their lives. Enjoy seeing them getting better and getting closer to achieving their goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A typical first lesson will start of by hearing them play a little, if possible. Then I like to hear about the goals of their learning violin as well as any expectations they have from me. And from there I’ll outline what I think is necessary for them to achieve that goal. Whether it being focusing on technical or musical aspects, and choosing what books/pieces to work on. And we go from there!
