My older son started training with Mercadel Basketball in 6th grade, where he learned both the game and the right mindset. A year later my younger son joined too. Coach Henry once said, “At Mercadel Basketball they will learn step by step.,” and that stuck with us. We stayed because Coach Henry has the heart of a parent. He teaches discipline, respect, and resilience, and often reminds the kids that the ABC to make it to varsity starts with Attitude and Character before Skills. Working with Paul was great because of the mix of professionalism and genuine care. Paul always emphasizes the attention to detail, and comes up with creative drills that are both fun and actually applies to in game situations. Ever since I started training with Paul, I improved not just my skills but also my confidence on the court. He’s such a genuine guy and truly does care about you, both as a player and as a person.

Coach Deep did a great job of working with my 9 year old on QB skills as well as general fitness training and good athlete discipline and habits. His correction to my son’s deep pass throwing mechanics definitely made a noticeable difference this season for our team resulting in more touchdowns and less interceptions. He has and teaches a great work ethic that goes beyond just the sport.
