I am an adult student and have been taking lessons from Mark for many years. He is an excellent teacher combining, for me, a good level of challenge and a sensitivity to what I want to accomplish with my lessons. He teaches with care and a great sense of humor!

I have been Marks student since I was around sixth grade until just now. I recently just got my Senior Medallion for Certificate of Merit for piano after finishing level 8. Under his teaching, Ive also obtained honorable mention trophies for Romantic Festival and Baroque Festival, a winner trophy for Latin Festival, as well as the 15 point and 30 point trophy at Junior Festival. Even with the mistakes I make from lack of practice, hes still reasonably patient with me and helps me to make sure I play the best I can. I have very much enjoyed being his student the past 7 years.

Mark Mendez was my piano teacher for my last year of high school in which I was in Certificate of Merit level 10. I got my senior medallion and passed my level 10 exams. Mark is a fantastic piano instructor! Mark also helped me prepare piano videos for colleges I was applying to during my senior year of high school. I know attend UC Berkeley and am studying Materials Science & Engineering.
