About
Hello, My name is Tina Qu, concert violinist and teacher. I am the member of the LA Opera, Associate Concert Master of the New West Symphony and frequesntly perform with LA Philharmonic and Hollywood Bowl Orchestra among others. I have had my schoolings done in the best musical Institutions in the country such as Juilliard School, Curtis Institute of Music and USC. With such a strong musical background, I am always been motivated to help the youth and the studetns, who are able to have the right attitude in learning the violin and enjoy the positive experience that usually goes both ways.
I am curently teaching at the Colburn School and over the years, I have taught at Hong Kong University, Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, East Los Angeles College.
People often say that my teaching style holds high standard and it usally requires the studetns with sincerety, seriousness and good attitude in students, in order to achiave the best result possbiel. The result is always immediate case after case, including the former students earned high leveled Certificate of Mertis; became Harvard School graduate; won competitions, etc. These days, I tend to only teach talented and gifted young beginners.
As a teacher, I offer an free and brief meeting with the postential new student, so we could get to know one another better before the process begins and also able to make a personalized plan.
Thanks for reading.
Sincerely,
Tina Qu
To see my students improving, engaging and enjoying what they can do best in their ability. Often times strive more and to develop to their best potentials in many other areas under the influence of violin studying with me.
