Hi! Welcome to my Music Studio! My name is Abraham Fabella and I have been teaching piano and music for over twenty years throughout California. I have experience in the classroom as a teaching assistant and lecturer at institutions such as UCLA and UC Riverside, as well as experience with private students from the San Francisco Bay Area to the Greater L.A. area. My studio emphases are: Classical Piano and Vocal literature, Piano and Vocal technique, Vocal coaching, Theory, Composition, and General Musicianship. There are many opportunities for excellence in my music studio including: Certificate of Merit, National Piano Guild Playing Auditions, local concerto and young artists' competitions, studio recitals, duets and ensembles, and community outreach. My students have won awards in competitions such as the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, the Inland Empire Piano Festival and the Riverside Young Pianists' Competition. I am a member in good standing of the Music Teachers' National Association (MTNA) and the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC). Abraham Fabella, M.Mus.
What I enjoy most about my work is the opportunity to watch students grow in their love of music. I enjoy giving students the tools to become literate musicians and to share their gifts with their family, friends, and the community.
My son take piano lessons with Mr. Abraham since September 2015. In 1 and 1/2 that he had been with Mr. Abraham he grew a lot in his playing the piano. He also provide opportunity for the students to enter different piano competition. I already reffered 3 families to him and all are happy with his service. I highly recomnend Mr. Abraham.
When working with a new student, I evaluate strengths and weaknesses either in technic, reading skills, knowledge of theory and musical terms, memorization skills, and musicality. I tailor a curriculum for each of my students at the beginning of each semester.
I have played the piano for most of my life and have taught piano for over 20 years. I have a Master of Music degree in Music Composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I premiered several pieces for solo piano while studying there and paid the bills as a performer and conductor. I am comfortable in all styles having experience performing opera, jazz, sacred music, and all periods of the Western classical tradition.
