About
Kashmira began studying the violin at age four and was a member of the Hawaii Youth Symphony while growing up. She obtained her B.M. in Violin Performance from the University of Colorado–Boulder under Charles Wetherbee. At CU, Kashmira participated in a Music and Performing Arts summer program in Florence, Italy where she studied with violinist Alberto Bologni, renowned performer, teacher and co-founder of the Florentia Consort Associazione Culturale. She went on to study with Katherine McLin at Arizona State University, obtaining an M.M in Violin Performance and Pedagogy.
Kashmira has been teaching for over ten years. She is experienced in teaching violin to students of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced. She approaches each lesson as a collaboration between teacher and student that is tailored to the student’s ability, learning style, and interests. Kashmira strives to incorporate music theory, music history, and ear training into playing the instrument. She is patient, encouraging, and happy to share her knowledge and love of music with others.
