Welcome to Annie's Violin Studio, a premier destination for violin lessons in Chino, CA! With over 22 years of experience playing the violin, I am passionate about sharing my love for music with students of all ages and skill levels.
About Me:
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the University of Redlands and have been teaching classical violin privately since 2016. My students range from beginners to advanced players, aged 4 years old to adults.
Teaching Philosophy:
I am dedicated to finding the best teaching methods tailored to each student's individual level, learning style, goals, personality, and time commitment. I am passionate about teaching and take great joy in seeing my students make progress and smile.
Specialty Offerings:
Ear-Training and Sight-Singing Classes: These classes are designed to improve overall musicianship and complement the private violin lessons.
Lesson Rates and Options:
Rates: $65 per hour
Lesson Lengths: 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 1 hour

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
- Assess techiniques learned and General musical knowledge to determine where the student is at
- Communicate with the student about his/her goal, current need and time commitment (soloist? ensemble/orchestra? preparing for audition? playing for fun? etc.)
- During accessment , find out the students's strength & weakness, as well as learning style
- For students under age 18, communicate with parents about their understanding and expectations of the student's violin study

- Bachelor of Music (Violin Performance) from University of Redlands
- Studied abroad in Vienna, Austria for one semester during college
- Won Dean's Performance Award and President Honor Recital at University of Redlands
- Music Theory and Ear-training&Sight-sing tutor for all 4 years in college
- Trained by school pedagogy courses
- 5 years of private teaching experience
- 10 years of orchestra experience, has competed both (Chinese) national level and international level
