About this pro

My name is Jeff Wilder, Im a music education specialist and a performer/composer for 20 years. My background and experience of teaching a variety of instruments, groups and ages has really contributed to my ability to reach just about any student and map out their music journey one step at a time.

I spent 12 years working for the school district directing band/Jazz, orchestra and Drumline. In the past 7 years I began focusing more on my private students and ensuring their success which led to me establishing a local music school here in Indio and turning our students into talented performers!

Our music instructors are professional musicians who are gifted teachers that instruct music “full-time”.  Our curriculum and method tracks students progress while personalizing the particular interests of the student. I'm known for getting results and sustaining interest.

Any style, song or type of music desired, we use effective and tested methods that work time after time while learning the appealing material that inspired you to play.

We enjoy what I do as it will show.

All students receive recognition/awards for their accomplishments, and various performance opportunities.

Our 10 y/o daughter has been playing violin for almost 3 yrs w/ Mr.Wilder. His experience, professionalism & friendly personality has helped her to become a proficient violinist & most importantly, she enjoys playing. He encourages her efforts & is supportive of her project song choices. We work together to come up w/ a practice schedule that works for us both. A little background: She chose to play the violin & this is her 1st & only instrument. Practicing diligently 30-40min daily is a must. Picking up the violin only for the weekly session will not advance your/the student. Playing the violin has definitely helped our daughter’s confidence as she’s challenged w/ learning new music & keeping up w/ what she’s already learned.

Jeff Wilder is an amazing piano teacher. My daughter is finishing her second year with him, and I am so happy about it. She was 5 years old when Jeff started with her. At the beginning she wasn't that exited about piano, but because of Jeff's awesome job and wonderful personality she became one of his good student. My daughter enjoying her piano lessons and she really likes Mr wilder. We had plan to move out of Desert, but we had to hold off, cause I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to find someone like Jeff. He understand others and ready works hard to switch schedule when there is an emergency coming up... She did amazing job on both of the Recitals we went, and enjoyed to watch our child performing on the stage. We are so pleased to have Jeff as our only child's piano lessons teacher.

I am an older adult and have been attempting to teach myself piano. I found Mr. Wilder and he has taught me more in the six or seven weeks I have been going to lessons than any other teacher I have hired. He has given me great confidence and teaches me according to the best way for me to learn. I can't say enough great things about Mr. Wilder and his methods! THANKS JEFF

We are very happy with Mr. Wilder as our son’s music teacher. He is very patient, accommodating, and understanding with our 4 year old learning piano. My husband and I enjoy watching our son grow in his love of music because the lessons are paced well and developmentally appropriate for his age level.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Assign a weekly timeslot that works for their schedule.

I first began by teaching the student how to practice at home.  How to repeat the same steps as we build and move forward through a series of music requirements/exercises,  method book for sight reading and to be trained how to learn music by ear as well as study project songs of the students choice. Music they love and connect with
