Carol Schindler Piano Studio

I hold a Bachelor's of Music in Applied Piano and continues to hone her skills via master classes, community performances, ac​companying & two piano duos. Also I am the principal keyboardist for the Sonoma County Philharmonic. As an active member of Music Teachers Association of California I am a board member of the local Sonoma Branch. The joint MTAC/CAPMT recitals held at Santa Rosa Junior College are co-managed by myself. My enjoyment of music and compassion for my students is seen in the manner in which I adjusts my teaching to the needs and learning style of each student.​ Teaching has been part of my life for twenty plus years.

The art & discipline of learning to proficiently play a musical instrument has value that effects much of life. Since we all learn in different ways & at different rates, time is spent helping the student discover how to learn. I then show how this applies to studying as well as other aspects of life. Progress is made as the team of teacher, parent & child work together to assure that the discipline of practice is applied at regular intervals. Being part of individuals getting excited about learning is what drives me to teach.
