I love the piano and have been teaching for 25 years. I have also been an accompanyist for choirs, soloists, violinists, flutists and harpists on a continual basis and receive great joy is so doing.
I have been a youth leader through church organizations and camps for many years, and enjoy working with children and teenagers.
I am excited to help any child-adult achieve their musical goals!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I learn where the student is in their musical/piano training and go from there.
I use various methods of teaching, according to a student's needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a minor if music theory from Brigham Young University.
I trained with concert pianists as both a youth and young adult.
I have a lifetime of experience accompanying choirs, musical groups, soloists and instramentalists of all types, and thoroughly enjoy performing with all of the above.

I charge $30.00 for 1/2 lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a teenager as a result of many parental requests.
I began teaching again 10 years later when my children were young as a way to earn money at home.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages from 5 years though adult.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I played for a choir performance in church which included a violin/piano duet and a vocal soloist.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Music is exciting!
Be willing to practice every day to get the full benefit from your lessons.
