About
I have been teaching classical and popular piano as a career for over 30 years. I make the lessons enjoyable and fun while while making sure all the skills are learned. I teach children from age four and also adults all levels from beginner to advanced.
I took private lessons fom grade school through High School. I have a degree in music from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL and a degree in Psychology from CSUS in Sacramento, CA.
I have been teaching in Sacramento CA since 1985. My students come to me at my studio. I do not travel.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every student is an individual and is treated as such. The lessons are private and customized to meet the learning style, abilities, interest and goals of each student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Private lessons grade shhool through high school. A degree in music from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn,IL and a degree in Psychology from CSUS in Sacramento, CA.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. 80.00 per month that covers 4 weekly half hour lessons. When there is a fifth week in a month, that lesson is free.
How did you get started teaching?
I had a mentor who helped me get started.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children, ages 4 through high school, Adults up to a beginner at age 86. I have successfully taught Autistic children, and some with ADHD. Also Muscular Dystrophy and other special needs.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recital at the Yamaha Music Fun Fest in which 25 of my children participated.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a qualified,experienced teacher who loves teaching and will make the lessons enjoyable for you or your child and who will help you reach your goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do I have a strong desire to be committed to playing the music I will be learning at each lesson at home so I can play it well at the next lesson and be ready to progress to the new lesson?
