Piano Lessons With Ruthy Gregory

I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Piano from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. I am opening 2 more days of teaching and am looking for students new students.

I am a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California, Sierra Branch. Through MTAC, I am able to offer students the option of participating in Certificate of Merit (CM). This program is started once a beginning student completes their method books (generally 2-3 years). CM provides a standard of curriculum that requires students for focused musical excellence in performance, technique, ear training, sight reading, and music theory. There are 10 levels total, and a student may complete as many levels as desired. If the higher levels are completed, students may easily test out of the first 2-3 levels of music theory in college courses.

The BASICS:

1) Lessons are held once per week at my home studio located in Gold River.

2) I charge a flat fee of $120/month. This includes one 30 minute lesson and a 30 minute lab which can be done before or after there lesson. The lab is not required, but is highly recommended.

3) There are two recitals per school year with additional performance opportunities (competitions, festivals, etc.).

4) Quarterly Performance Workshops will be held in lieu of their normally scheduled lessons. Students come for a one hour workshop which includes performing, games and activities. The students and I love these! I put quite a bit of preparation and planning into these. Students come and meet their fellow musicians so when recitals come around, they know and feel comfortable performing for the other students! Regarding lessons, this week is reserved for makeups only.

*Lessons are on a first come, first served basis. Your desired time slot is not guaranteed until the first month’s tuition is received. I offer all my time slots to anyone who inquires.

I also accompany students and music groups. My base rate is $45/rehearsal & $100/concert. I also play for parties starting at $80/hour and $70/hour thereafter with a 50% deposit required to reserve your date; 2 hour minimum in December. Current student's recieve a 50% discount for parties.
