About
I customize my teaching to suit my students’ needs and believe that anyone can play piano regardless of previous experience. I teach classical piano, music theory, music history, and accompanying. I have experience teaching beginning to advanced/collegiate levels and maintain a private studio of students ages 4-60.
I love helping my students express themselves and explore their creativity. I have learned a lifetime of information working with a wide range of ages and abilities.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If the student has had previous experience, I ask them to play me whatever they last worked on and I will ask them technical questions that increase in difficulty. I then work to fill in any holes in order to help the student thrive musically.
If the student has not had any experience in music, I ask them about their goals so that I can customize our lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters and bachelors of music in piano performance. I have experience teaching both lessons and literature courses at the collegiate level. I am an active member of MTAC.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
