About
David Mount gave his first piano lesson in 1986, and since then through the
years has taught more than 30,000 lessons. Some of his students have
gone on to have professional music careers and have become music
teachers themselves. Since 2005 Mr. Mount has been the District
Accompanist for Upland Unified School District and plays for all of their
choral programs, rehearsals, music festivals, concerts, events and tours. In
addition to Upland he is also the accompanist for two San Bernardino High
School choral programs. He also enjoys playing keyboard in the orchestra
pit for Colleges and Professional Theatre Productions throughout Southern
California, and has played more than 2,000 of these types of shows since
the 1990s.
Being a professional musician has been a joy and an honor, and Mr. Mount
loves to share his passion and music experience with students of all ages
and levels. Students will gain knowledge and practical methods of
numerous musical ideas, expressions, styles, genres, theory, ear-training,
