~ABOUT ME:

My name is Rachel. I was born into a exceptionally musical family where both of my parents played and taught to play the piano. I have 13 years of teaching experience in numerous countries including Germany, Canada, Austria and Australia. I also have experience in areas of music including solo piano, chamber music, broadway and choir.

I absolutely adore to teach and was fortunate enough to watch my parents teach both in home and at a university level from a very young age. I am committed to develop love and appreciation in music in all my students & I accommodate each student's learning style while truly nurturing their unique talents.

My instruction consists of:

~ Teaching students of all ages: from beginners (3 years and up) to intermediate/advanced. My oldest student is 70!

~ Teaching a range of styles: Classical, Jazz, Blues, Modern, Pop, Broadway.

~ Each lesson also includes developing skills in music theory, harmony, oral training, music reading, improvising and transcribing.

~ Developing and individualizing a long term plan for each student to make sure each of them accomplishes their desired goals

~ Each lesson is tailored to individual student's needs and abilities.
