What is your typical process for working with a new student?

All students complete a free interview to assess their goals and determine the ideal learning plan for them. Each lesson is custom tailored to help them meet their goals in a way that is fun, effective, and ideal for their unique learning style.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I took years of private piano lessons as a child before I completed my Associates Degrees in Music and Fine & Applied Arts at Riverside City College. I also received my certificate in Piano Performance from RCC. Currently, I am a senior undergrad Piano Performance major at the University of Redlands (Class of 2019). I have studied Piano Pedagogy at the university level and have taught over 70 private students since I began teaching in 2014.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Please text/call for pricing.

How did you get started teaching?

I began teaching private piano students in 2014. Since then, I have tutored college level piano and music theory students, I worked as an aide and ensemble teacher at the University of Redlands Annual Piano Camp, and group classes. I currently own a piano studio in Historic Downtown Riverside, CA where I teach private students and group classes for toddlers and infants.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with infants and toddlers, college students and moms, all the way up to retirees and grandparents. All ages are welcome!

I believe that no one should be defined by the things that hinder us. Music is medicine and should be available to all!

I am a state-certified respite worker and have years of experience dealing with special needs. I have taught children on multiple areas of the Autistic Spectrum. I have also worked with children who have Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD. I also have had students with vision difficulties and degenerate hearing loss and am able to communicate with American Sign Language. I also have experience with epileptic and siezure-proned students. I also accomodate for illnesses and have worked with students (adults and children) as they undergo treatments for cancer. Seriously! All are welcome!
