I love teaching. Each person needs something a little different and I love synIhesizing an original program and path forward for each of my students, whether they be 3 or 83. I like introducing the great composers and love to show how their personalities are reflected in their music. My goal is communication and understanding and humor. Teaching is possible with great kindness, love and respect. I'm aware that there are many students who have taken with other teachers with limited communication skills and knowledge at the piano. Frequently parents bring those children to me who have lost interest...and presto, they have energy and are motivated to learn music. Although this seems like a mystery to some, it doesn't surprise me at all... every student is very important to me, and every student needs to be reached with private music lessons a little differently! I love making those connections with each person imparting special information that requires emotional intelligence. Music is the language...I am the language teacher!!!
