I am currently a music major at the University of California at Davis. I started out playing the piano late when I was 13, and from then I have a great passion for music. My philosophy when it comes to learning piano or music, in general, is that Age does not determine your ability to learn music but it all depends on how you approach it. Therefore my goal is to assist every student to the best of my ability, from all backgrounds, to achieve their dreams of being able to play the piano and understand music. What I enjoy the most is to see my students accomplished their goals toward music. Thus I enjoy the fact that I can create a learning environment which students feel comfortable to learn therefore giving their best results. Leaning how to play the piano is not all about the rules, and long hours of practice. It is about individual connect with the instrument to create a beautiful sound. That is what I enjoy to the most about teaching piano

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process would be pre-assessment to determine the level of my students. Then I would ask the students what type of music that the students would like to play. The final step would be set up a plan to guide the students to where they want to be.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a music major at the University of California of Davis. I have been teaching/ teacher assistant for piano lessons for couple of years. I worked with all ages.

At a very young age, I had such a great passion for music so I started inspiring others to learn about music or learn how to play piano in particular. I guided, teach, and explore their maximum potential for music.
