Piano lessons for kids and adults of all levels. Practicing piano as a hobby or serious training are all welcomed. The goal is to nurture piano playing and music enrichment that can bring enjoyment to students and the skills they learned can carry on for their whole lifetime. Helping students to build up solid music foundation and improve in a steady way on their own path without pressure.

A professional pianist and teacher obtained Master of Arts in Music and studied piano performance under the world-renowned master pianist Mack McCray at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Each student is unique, has his or her own talent and the specific points need to enhance. Adapting different teaching strategies and music materials according to individual student’s needs and interests. I have good insight into student's special qualities, talent, emotions, and problems, and am patient in helping student to improve, enjoy playing and grow in a joyful way.

Preparing students to participate in recital, Certificate of Merit or ABRSM evaluation programs, and competition are available.

My son has taken piano lessons with Ms. Pailin for 4 years and my daughter has taken it for 2 years. Ms. Pailin is patient and great with kids which has made the learning process fun and enjoyable and has really fostered a love of music in my kids.

Her teaching method is precise and instructive, which helps build a solid foundation for children to develop their interests and skills in playing piano.

Ms. Pailin teaches kids many piano skills that lead to success, helping them improve with advice and practice during each lesson.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I would like to arrange a phone call to talk to parents/students and have further understanding of each other. Then, I offer a 30 mins free trial lesson.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Master of Arts in Music degree in music education at San Francisco State University where I studied with famous music professor Carolynn Lindeman also be her teaching assistant and taught in the piano classes for college students who in teaching credential program.

Bachelor of Music in piano performance at San Francisco Conservatory of Music where I studied piano performance under the world-renowned master pianist Mack McCray.

How did you get started teaching?

I started practicing piano at the age of five and started piano teaching at college years. I have more than 25 years of teaching experience.

I was a teaching assistant in music department at San Francisco State University. I served as chairperson of CM evaluation at Santa Clara Branch, and served as chairperson of CMTANC International Youth Music Competition and Festival.
