About
I am a classically-trained pianist with more then ten years experience. I have years of teaching experience. I can help you learn the songs and pieces you always wanted to play. I teach the fundamental skills of playing piano, including technique, articulation, reading music and other musical elements. Take piano with me and you will be playing in no time!
I studied in the advanced applied music program at Saddleback College. Before that, I studied for seven years with Dr. Judy Huang who received her doctorate from UCLA. I earned the level ten Certificate for advanced piano performance and theory from the Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC). My awards include American Fine Arts Festival winner, for which I played at Carnegie hall. I was a finalist in the Southern California Junior Bach Festival.
I enjoy helping students learn piano and music theory. It is exciting to see students get inspired and watch them improve. Sometimes students come to their lesson and they've practiced and learned more music then just what I assigned. It's exciting to see students take initiative and be passionate about learning.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, first I find out their skill level and what kind of music interests them. From there, I give them music and excersizes to work on that will challenge them just enough to help them improve. With begginer students I usually recommend a book series.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My experience includes over ten years of classical piano. My main teacher was Dr. Judy Huang, a UCLA graduate. I played in the advanced applied music program at Saddleback college, as well as in various ensembles. I have awards from competitions, including finalist in the Socal Junior Bach piano competition. I played at Carnegie hall
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is 30 dollars for half an hour, and 55 dollars for an hour. If I travel to you, the price will vary depending on the distance.
How did you get started teaching?
After many years of studying piano, teaching piano was the natural next step. I started teaching at my local music school and from there I started growing my own business.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children from five years old to seventeen years old, as well as adults. I have had students who are very serious about practicing and learning, and students that study more casually and just for fun.
