I take an individualized approach with teaching to find the best way to engage my students, help them learn their favorite songs, and help them gain a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of music as a whole.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will engage with them on their passions and the types of music they are interested in and find a way to help them understand the music better and apply it to their playing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been performing on keyboards since 20 years and on piano for 10 years. I have experience in a wide array of genres when it comes to writing, composing, arranging, producing, and performing music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes my general system as of 2023 is $33 for 30 min, $44 for 45 min and $55 for an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring at the undergraduate level for piano and theory to students who were struggling, and then graduated to teaching students outside of my college.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach students of various ages, from young kids to older adults looking to regain some musical knowledge and passion. They all come from different backgrounds, ages, and have different interests, so I've tailored lessons to each (which is the advantage of 1 on 1).
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my best students just told me he has been increasing his practice time to 20 minutes a day, which made me very proud that he is passionate and wants to play more.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say keep your mind open but don't be afraid to speak your mind about what you are interested in and want out of the learning experience. That helps me tailor the lessons or tell you if that's something I can offer at all.
