I teach exclusively online via Zoom and have done so since the beginning of the the pandemic in the Spring of 2020.
I offer inspired, expert, individual instruction in piano, composition, and music theory to committed intermediate and advanced students. I specialize in performance preparation and conservatory preparation.
I have been teaching since 1974.
I earned Rice University’s highest Course/Instructor evaluation while on the faculty at Shepherd School of Music. I also taught at San Francisco Conservatory of Music, University of Colorado College of Music, and University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, where I earned Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees.
My hourly rates based on regular weekly or biweekly lessons are $110/60 minutes, $82.50/45 minutes, $55/30 minutes. The following tuition charges are annualized based on regular weekly or biweekly lessons, 48 lessons per year:
• Half-hour lessons: $220 per month
• Biweekly one-hour lessons: $220 per month
• 45-minute lessons: $330 per month
• One-hour lessons: $440 per month
