About
In addition to providing thorough instruction on a traditional method on the violin/viola, I also teach them theory by having the student bring home a music workbook to study and complete to supplement their lesson in order for them to learn and understand their lesson.
I like very much seeing my student's progress from week to week as they enjoy their playing. It also gives me a great satisfaction when parents of younger children provide practice support and able to teach them at home. It makes it easier for the child to learn and enjoy their music.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In the beginning, I show them the basics from properly holding the bow and the violin in a relax manner without stress to the arm and neck.
Also, I introduce a music workbook in addition to their music studies to allow them to learn and understand the parts of the violin and bow, and the different musical notations that make up their lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied the violin since middle school and viola since college.
Along the way, I had several professional private teachers and coaches including members of the San Francisco Symphony and the New York Philharmonic.
I have taught since college and my students have demonstrated their ability and talent by passing auditions with the San Francisco School of the Arts and Various Youth Orchestras including the Peninsula Youth Orchestra.
