Hi! I’m Melissa & I’ve been songwriting since I was 6 years old & singing since I was 2! I always loved to perform & eventually took lessons. I have a bachelors degree in performance studies which has given me acting experience. Singing & acting go hand in hand as they are both propelled into storytelling.
I am also a certified yoga instructor so am technically oriented on the body’s posture & breath. Both of which are key in giving a good voice.
As a songwriter I’ve delved into various structures and am still adding to my repertoire. However, if a student comes to me with an idea, I am confident in my ability to structure & progress emotion in the song.
