Heidi is an amazing teacher in many ways. Coming from a parents perspective, Heidi is very professional, her calendar is set a year in advance, she is always kind yet challenges her students in a very appropriate manner.
Heidi is a tremendous singer and performer herself. She is skilled and knowledgeable and connected well with my daughter on a musical and personal level. My daughter always looked forward to her lessons.
My daughter continued her studies in music in college and double majored...one of which was classical voice.

She was always so encouraging and inspiring to me in our lessons. Her positivity and encouraging words gave me confidence in my singing which motivated me to go for my goals. Aside from teaching me proper singing technique, her caring learning environment allowed me to get to where I am in my musical journey. Because of Heidi Vass, I am studying classical vocal performance and apart of the opera program at Chapman University .

Frequently asked questions

We talk over the phone to establish whether it is a good fit. If I have space in my studio and it seems like a match, we schedule a consultation and go from there. If I am  not a good fit for a client, I offer referrals to other REPUTABLE instructors in the area who could better suit the needs of the student. The goal for me is always to offer the best fit for each student/situation and that is not always in my studio.

Do your homework and make sure your perspective teachers are qualified. They should AT MINIMUM have a bachelors degree in Music with specific training in Vocal Pedagogy (this is the scientific study of voice including anatomy and physiology).

Know your goals going in and be sure that you are comfortable with the teacher that you choose. You want to be confident that your chosen teacher can help you meet your goals.
