Excellent classical professional pianist / Experienced piano teacher Teaching any ages from 7 to 70 classical music, jazz and pop music 1) About Me: Music has been my life since the age of 7 years old when I first began piano lessons. I have a BA in Piano Performance from Yerevan Music-Pedagogical College. I graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Music Piano Performance with Honors, Yerevan State Conservatory, along with qualifications in Soloist of Chamber Group, Piano Teaching and Accompanist. While attending Yerevan State, I was also awarded the International Prize: Piano Performace, at the International Competition of Musician Performers in Tbilisi, Georgia. I have also performed with various symphonic orchestras, soloists and choirs in Saint Petersburg (Russia), Olso (Norway), New York (USA) and elsewhere in Europe. 2) Teaching Experience I have over 30 years of private piano teaching experience. My BA Degree includes training in Pedagogy (the methods of teaching). At least 5 dozen of my students have successfully passed their Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC) evaluation. 3) Teaching Methods Whether it's Russian Classical methods or pop, rock, and top 40 music I can adapt a curriculum to fit the individual needs of the student. I can also incorporate preparation for the Music Teacher's Association of California's (MTAC) Certificate of Merit Prprogram. I have been a member of the MTAC since 2003. 4) Teaching Style My goal is to build a complete pianist. I encourage slow tempo practice in order to pay attention to details ranging from note accuracy, counting, dynamics, technique (finger numbers, hand position, balance). I teach various piano literature from a range of historical periods including Baroque, Classical, Classical, Romantic/Impressionist, Contemporary, and Jazz 5) Who I teach From Ages 7 to the 'Young at Heart' I can work and schedule around your busy lifestyle. I have the ability to work and schedule around the lives of my individual students.
