Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to start the first lesson talking and evaluating where the student is at with their playing and learning ability. After evaluating what level the student should be at, I will request that they pick up the appropriate lesson book to begin working through. Depending on the level of the student, other materials and curriculums will be given for learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Music Education and have over 15 years of piano experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For younger students (ages 4-6) We typically start with 15 minute lessons @ $10/lesson.
Once a student is able to sit for a longer period of time, or is ready to advance, we hold 30 minute lessons @ $25/lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
Once I graduated college and got married, my husband and I started teaching music lessons out of our home. We had a few family friends who were interested in lessons and in the 5 years we have been married, my husband and I have grown our business to reach more of the community.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children as young as 4 up to adults 65+ ranging from beginners to advanced learners.
