    Frequently asked questions

I find out what their personal goals are in taking piano, and I  meet those needs. I provide weekly lessons of 30, 45, and one hour in length. I quickly identify the level at which the students should be comfortably working. I add an element of challenge for those who are motivated. I also listen to my students feedback as to how their progress is going.

I developed my studio after graduating. I did a lot of undergraduate teaching which prepared me for building my own studio. I've played and studied piano since age four. Music has been a huge part of my life.

Beginning through advanced levels of repertoire in piano. I love working with all types of people , but especially those who love music and are not afraid to grow and learn new things about theirselves or challenge themselves in some way to grow and learn new concepts and ideas that music has to offer people. Especially young people are open to writing their own music. They learn faster when they compose their own pieces from the start. It’s so exciting to teach piano. I don’t think I ever gotten tired of teaching in almost 50 yrs. I teach Worship Music also to Christians and their children. They learn to write their own Worship music from Scripture and it is so inspiring to see them use their music for The Lord.

I would Pick a teacher that is very talented in their teaching experience, loves music, and is extremely kind and patient to all of their students.

Also I would be careful to pick a teacher who did not talk a lot. Every word is like Gold to a piano students. Be precise, don’t give answers unless they really don’t know what you’re asking them. Show them instead. Don’t use too many words because it takes up too much time in the lesson and every second is precious. Know exactly what you’re going to teach and why. And be joyful.
How much time should I practice each day to learn piano? Also How many days should I practice ina week?
