Jacqueline Pabst Violin School

Hello!

My name is Jacqueline and I love the violin :)

I've been playing for about 28 years and and teaching for 8. I create a unique curriculum for each student depending on their abilities and their availability to practice. I have experience teaching all ages, from 3 year olds to adult seniors, as well as experience teaching children who are differently abled.

I can play and teach all different genres, including bluegrass and jazz. My favorite part of teaching is the joy and camaraderie with my students, as well as when they have that first "ah-ha" moment.

I was raised in a strict Russian style of violin, and my speciality is the bow hold, which I learned from my teacher, Linda Rose, which she learned from her teacher, Ivan Galamian, a famous violinist and teacher at Julliard. One thing that I learned from my strict upbringing was that it's best to be kind to students and encourage them more than correct them. I want my students to have fun and feel safe when they are in my lesson.
