Vanessa Morse Studio
About
I specialize in working with students on what their goals are and how they want to learn. Piano lessons are geared to the students needs and desires. Topics that are specific to students such as learning chords, singing songs in their style, singing harmonies, sight reading, are what makes learning more enjoyable for the student.
I love working with students to reach their goals, whether it's playing for pure enjoyment, learning a difficult piece and achieving success, preparing for auditions, or trying to pass a theory exam, I'm here to make it challenging and fun!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know them and try to make them feel at ease. I often work with younger students who are nervous, so I really like to make sure they feel as comfortable in the room with me as possible. I may ask them questions, or sometimes I may simply play something to lighten the mood. Once I have an idea of where they are at emotionally, physically, and level capacity, I can move forward with the direction I would like to take.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 20 years of teaching experience in piano and voice, and have taught music classes in a group setting and in the classroom as well as individually. I have a BA in Music in Education from California State University of Fullerton, and an MA in Choral Conducting from Azusa Pacific University.
