Ronit Rieser Violin Lessons

Ronit Rieser Violin Lessons

About

Learn to fiddle with a band or play in an orchestra! I am a symphony violinist who has taught both in public schools and privately since 2002. I offer students of all ages a solid foundation of technique so they can excel quickly and easily. I have helped many intermediate students who started in other places overcome both technical and mental obstacles that kept them from reaching the next level. I have a special program for students who want to fiddle by ear and learn to play with a band.

I enjoy seeing students progress and become musicians, but I find that many of my students benefit in other ways. I see them become more self directed, confident and organized. I like watching as these life skills help my students become more successful human beings.

Mrs. Rieser is a great violin teacher. She knows what she’s talking about. She can tell when you’re doing something wrong and she can tell you how to correct it. She cares about students improving and gaining their full potential. Very thankful we found her!

    Frequently asked questions

I like to meet with new students at a no cost lesson to find out where they are in their music education, what they would like to get out of their lessons, and to formulate a plan to achieve their objectives. I assess their instrument and bow, make sure everything is adjusted properly, and give the student a sample first lesson.

I majored in violin at Stanford Universiry and minored in violin at UC Santa Cruz.. Since college, I have sought professional developmient through coaching with top violinists in the Greater Sacramento area. I conduct my own research into topics that affect my students such as stage fright, rhythm difficulties, effective practice techniques, etc.

    30 minutes $30 45 minutes. $45 60 minutes. $60 Sibling discount of $5 per student
I have worked with Students of all ages from age 5 through people in their 70s. I have worked with many adults who studied as children and then had a long hiatus . I enjoy helping these people get their playing back at a higher level than when they left off as children
I would recommend people looking for a teacher to prioritize performing musicians. Ask the teacher how long students typically need to study before they can play enough to join the Sacramento Youth Symphony . (My students are typically ready to join in 3 years) Ask the teacher how they would handle a stalled adult learner. And, by all means, try a sample lesson.
What do you hope to achieve by studying an instrument? What type of music would you like to play? Can you commit to a daily practice?
