About

I've been a certified Instructor for over 25 years. I've taken an Old School approach to training and practicing martial arts. I lived with several Masters and did, 1-2 months, 8 months, and over a year living, training, and teaching. Total immersion in TKD. My FMA and TKD liniage my instructor was taught by the founder of the system. Additionally i've been a Nationally ranked competitor, coach, DT instructor, and have worked personal security and used the things I teach. Many times. If your interested in no frills training with real world applications, here it is. That being said, I've worked with children as well as adults both martial arts and in public school settings. I can custom tailor my program for each student. Good Luck on your Matrtial Arts Journey. You will be amazed what you have inside you. It is work to find at times, nothing good ever comes easy.

I like seeing the changes in people, someone who starts unsure of themselves, akward, hesitante. After a whike all that stuff just peels off. The change is like a caterpilller turning into a butterfly. You cant belive it is the same person. I know I am not at all the person I was when I started training. At 13 I couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time. 35 years later I can most days. Every year I train, the less I know, the more I can learn. The more I can show others to learn about themselves. It is inside you, Now let it free.

    Frequently asked questions

Introduction in person, phone or email, to discuse students wants, needs, and expectations as well as mine. First 2-4 classes will be 45 -60 min depending on the student. After thgat class schedule will be determined. The first couple classes are mostly to get the student familiar with the instructor. For both to decide if this is going to be something they wish to continue.

I've been a certified Instructor since 1992. Several immersion "internships' with Master Instructors. These entailed living with and working for each individual. I have also had some job experience that I've used my training in performing my job.I also have a BS in Recreation.

    Minimum of $35 an hour.

I started teaching in University. My instructir moved, and I started going to Conniticut to train, as well as learn how to teach. During University and post I did, 2 Teaching/training internships.

Every type, from International level competitors to children with extensive special needs. Moms and Dads as well.

Go with the instructor you will work the hardest for. Build a good foundation, take what tools you need from the toolbox. Leave the rest. It is never the Art always the Artist. Dont belive the hype. 90% of martial arts Instructors have never used martial arts outside of a competition or training hall.

Why are you doing this? What do you want out of it? Are you willing to Work for it?
