We LOVE to help children, teens and young adults reach their dreams and aspirations. Our incredible team of instructors, cast and crew help develop dancers, singers and actors for live performances on our in-house huge stage and also for professional work around the world.  Because we own our own in-house theatre, we are able to offer opportunities to performers to learn to choreograph, direct and enhance their performance abilities without huge theatre costs.  There are no performance fees, costume fees or entry fees which makes our program more accessible to every student.  We love to create and designing our own performances is our craft!  Students also have the opportunity to learn costume design, lighting design, photo editing, video editing, headshot and resume classes and more!  The annual June Festival of Dance is completely designed and presented by select staff and students and allows the cast to learn to direct, develop a full production show, set their own lights and choreograph to their hearts content!  Bottom line... WE LOVE WHAT WE DO!

My daughter came to Shadowlight Theater about two years ago when her old studio shut down. We had no idea what to expect, and could not believe what we found. It’s an environment so welcoming, fantastic facilities, and limitless opportunities for growth. Not only have I seen my daughter grow so much as a performer with dance, vocal, and stage presence, but also as a young woman. The values she is learning as part of the Shadowlight family, have improved her core - self-reliance, focus on education, and responsibility to her family and community. These are intangibles my wife and I never expected out of a studio. Miss Lynne, her staff, and the whole Shadowlight extended family are such a positive influence on our daughter, it’s truly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I highly recommend anyone interested in the theater arts, to check it out!

Shadowlight Theatre not only offers an extensive dance and theatre arts training program (where else can you get intensive dance training AND vocal and acting training all at the same place?) but is a place that is truly filled with love and hard work, and that my daughter considers home. The staff is talented, encouraging and passionate, the dancers are all so supportive of each other, and director Lynne Waggoner Patton is simultaneously the creative genius behind the stunning productions and mother hen to every child who walks through the doors. The beautiful, spacious facility includes a full in-house theatre which not only serves as a perfect performance space, but also as a training ground in costuming, choreography, audition skills, prop design, lighting, sound, and video/music editing. Since many classes and rehearsals are held on the theatre stage, performers get the unique opportunity to design and rehearse each show in the space where the performances will actually take place. Through classes, workshops, master classes, local and professional performance opportunities, I have watched my daughter grow into a positive, loving, hardworking, strong, capable young woman with crazy dance skills and the confidence to take on any challenge. Thank you, SLT, for playing such an active role in helping my daughter realize so much of her potential as a dancer, a performer, and an amazing human!

The place my daughter spends most time away from home and school and she enjoys every minute of it. Being kind and supporting each other is highly encouraged. And over all as a Christian I feel comfortable having her there.

My granddaughter Eleri has developed into quite the showman thanks to the training from Miss Lynn and the Shadowlight staff. The opportunity to perform on stage, sing, dance, and act many shows through out the year is invaluable on her road to a career in show business

My daughter has been a student here for many, many years. With the guidance of the remarkable teachers here she has blossomed as a dancer and an individual. She has had opportunities to perform at a national level. I would highly recommend SLT.

Excellent classes; wonderful variety of training in all aspects of the theater. The best performance opportunities anywhere in the Denver area!

I absolutely love the training my daughter received at Shadowlight Theater. She gets to participate in actual theatrical productions from beginning to end. There are no hidden fees, no competition only smiles at this Dance studio!

How did you get started teaching?

All of the Shadowlight Instructors began teaching because of their love of children and also their love of teaching.  The ability to share their many talents with children, teens and adults is what drives them to the highest level of excellence. To see the light go on in the students eye when they understand the expectations, step or performance is truly the greatest moment in time!

What types of students have you worked with?

Shadowlight Theatre has worked with thousands of artists and have seen many go on to perform in film, television and on Broadway!  We begin training at age 3 with our "Growing Your Wings' program and continue to offer training and performance opportunities for children, teens and adults.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Shadowlight Theatre's very own The Silhouettes recently performed on the America's Got Talent finale 2016.  It was a truly memorable experience that offered a performane opportunity for 24 cast members from Shadowligth Theatre that they will never forget!  This is the 9th time we have appeared on America's Got Talent and we are truly honored for this opportunity. Performance link:

We also performed on the NBC America's Got Talent Holiday Spectacular in December 2016 and had the honor of performing at the Presidential Inaugural Liberty Ball to honor the American Heroes who helped shape this great country!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

If you would like to spread your wings and fly, Shadowlight Theatre is the place for you!  We are a non-competitive, positive training environment that offers the student/cast member full training in the performing arts.  When you walk through the doors of Shadowlight Theatre... your future begins!

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Shadowlight Theatre loves hearing students goals and dreams. We want them to "think big" because you never know what can happen. After all, we were just a small performing arts studio in Arvada, CO and America's Got Talent launched us onto worldwide television. Therefore, we always say... "DREAM BIG"!!!
