I have been teaching swimming lessons for over 20 years. I am also a swim coach for a team. I have a real passion for teaching lessons. I teach each swimmer the basics so that they can learn to excel at their own pace with excellent technique. I teach 3 year olds (some 2) through adults.
I have references and travel to your pool location.
Learning to swim is an important skill for any age. It is a life-long activity that can be healthy for the body as well as fun with friends and family. Every person should be able to swim:)

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will meet the student and find out the needs and wants and we will come up with a plan to acheive the goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a red cross certified swim instructor and coach, CPR certified and lifegaurd certified. Ii have been teaching and coaching for over 20 years and I am a swimmer myself.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Procing will depend on number of lessons. I offer package deals and usually just to learn to swim will take approximately 4 sessions. If more detailed coaching is wanted, I can do an 8 session package.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a swimmer as a child and starting teaching in my teens and loved it so much and have continued through my life.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and levels. I also have worked with special needs swimmers and have coached special olympic swimming for several years.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love watching students go from screaming and hating the water ot loving it and wanting more. It is the most satifying thing about my job. I also love to watch swimmers I teach at a young age grow up and join swim team and be successful team swimmers:)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always check references and know that there should be progress each lesson. It should never take weeks ot learn ot swim if you have a good instructor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals with swimming? Do you have a location for the lessons and a location to practice?
If you are a parent of a child, are you willing to walk away and let the child scream so that they can overcome their fear and learn to swim?
