I have been taking voice lessons with Patrice for over two wonderful years. She has made me more confident in my performance abilities and has worked with me to strengthen my voice and increase vocal range. She is a tremendous teacher and my lesson with her is a highlight of my week.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We learn about their voice type, range, and register. We explore what music genre works best with their voice at this moment. New vocal exercises are introduced, and one or two songs are recommended/suggested. Then we go on from there to establish great singing skills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
University of Colorado at Boulder - Bachelor of Music, Vocal Performance
Boston Conservatory of Music - Masters of Music, Vocal Performance
Columbia University - Doctoral cohort at Teacher's College
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our policy is to take four lesson payments at a time, with a 24-hour notice to reschedule for a makeup lesson within the same month.
How did you get started teaching?
While working professional singer in Europe, a young singer approached me for voice lessons and what a wonderful experience we had so I decided to pursue teaching voice further.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types of music genres but mostly singers who are high school, college age and adults. We have recently been working with 12-14 years old, as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We have a studio concert approximately every 3 months in various venues.
The studio seems to enjoy working toward this performance goal.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Before you choose a teacher, stop, take a big breath, and allow yourself time to consider what you want in a teacher. Then commit for at least 3 months to achieve lasting improvement and progress.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Express what your goals are for taking music lessons.
