FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

To start we prefer to work with new students one on one for their free lesson (friends and family work together as well), so we can introduce them to our dojo.  This allows them to get a feel for the atmosphere as well as have an immense amount of fun learning some new skills.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The owner of Boulder Karate, Brad Randolph, has been training for 20+ years and has reached the level of Master (5th Degree Black).  Under the mentorship of Grandmaster Jim Brassard, Master Randolph has worked to bring Boulder Karate to new heights always looking to bring the best to our his dojo.

The senior instructors at the Dojo, Walker Chipman & Kaley Dysert, have trained under Master Randolph in the martial arts for around 15 years and have both been teaching for many years.

All of our assistant instrucors are fantastic martial artists from our dojo that have been training hard, and have wanted to take training to a new leve through teaching.

Every instructor at Boulder Karate has gone through the Alpine Instructor Academy to hone their skills and give the best lessons possible, always trying to improve in any way they can.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We have many price points for training.  Please call or e-mail us so we can find the best one for you and your family.

What types of students have you worked with?

In the almost 20 years Boulder Karate has been in Boulder we have trained with every type of student under the sun.  No one should think twice about giving the martial arts a shot, regardless of your situations.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Just try it out, find a dojo and instructors that work for you and make sure that you leave feeling the best you can.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Our dojo is about doing what you can, not what you can't.  You are training for yourself and anything that needs to be worked around or if there is something that you would like to get out of training please never hesitate to ask one of our Senior Instructors!
