Alexandre School Of Piano
About
My teaching includes all of the foundational aspects of receiving a full understanding of music and the myriad ways of learning to play the piano. Lessons include theory, technique and repertoire (your choice).
I fell in love with the piano as a child and knew by the time I was 12 that I wanted to pursue a career as a professional pianist. Playing the piano is an absolutely essential part of who I am. Not only do I love performing, but love to hear all of the great pianists. It is a way of life that is both challenging and fulfilling.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For a student who is new to playing the piano, we start with the most basic essentials. This is to secure a strong foundation and an easy way to just get started.
For a student who has studied previously, the student plays a piece of their choice, so that I can see where their understanding of knowing music is and how they approach playing. This allows me the opportunity to make recommendations that they will appreciate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Piano Performance from Southern Methodist University. I was very involved in the outstanding piano pedagogy dept. as well. As an instructor, I have been teaching since age 16 and as a performer from the age of 9. I bring a love of playing and a thorough understanding of how to get there.
