The New Old School Of Music

Working with The New Old School of Music has been one of the best experiences of my life. They have taught me so much about both music in general and how to play violin to the best of my capabilities. They really takes the time to get to know you and to figure out the best way to teach you. They got me to a whole new level of playing. They dont put too much stress on you and get you to want to put your best effort into learning. I would recommend their lessons to anyone who wants to further their musical skills.

My daughter participates in Mirelas Learning Groove classes, which are designed to introduce young children to foundational music concepts using fun, developmentally-appropriate activities and songs. Mirela has an exceptional ability to make connections with the children and scaffold instruction to meet each learners needs. My daughter initially showed great hesitance to leaving my side and taking risks (e.g., trying tonal patterns in front of the other children). She would cry and refuse to participate. In a matter of weeks she was dancing, laughing, and proudly trying new things in front of the other kids. This is just one example of multiple in which Ive seen Mirela able to patiently meet children where they are and then gradually stretch them out of their comfort zones to help them learn and have fun at the same time. Thanks to Mirela, my daughter now loves to sing and dance all throughout the day, and shes far less afraid of failure.
