Dongbin Shin Violin Studio

I am a concert soloist, and have given concerts home and abroad. I have previously served as the concertmaster at the Hartt Symphony Orchestra and the Waterbury Chorale. I am also an avid chamber musician with chamber music experience from age of 15 as a member of the Shin Trio. I was appointed as the violin technique class instructor at The Hartt School in 2012. Dongbin teaches at local private schools as well as his private home studio. My goals as a teacher are: 1. To work to build a sound foundation in technique to provide students with a solid base upon which to grow their musicality. 2. Promote and nurture students' interest in music by identifying their passion and strengths in violin playing. 3. Provide students with opportunities to perform to and work to help them find confidence in their playing.
