Although I was very young, I will always remember the Altoid stacks and the handwritten and illustrated book about Christmas mice :) thank you for being there for my very first introduction to music and for sharing a deep love for Italianness!

I took lessons with David for about 5 years in my early teens. His passion for the music he teaches and enthusiasm for his students' learning is contagious. I highly recommend him as a teacher!

His knowledge about music is just incredible, the different times in history where the music came from etc., personel stories of composers, and the thought about how compositions were created and the rules and traditions in the world of music: just ask David. And the best thing ever, he taught me how to practic!

David is an amazing piano teacher I don't know what would have happened if I had found someone else he is very funny and we are best friends and is very good at teaching you how to play the piano I would not be as good as I am today without him

I started piano lessons as a complete beginner with Dave in 2015. I am adult student, and tend to teach myself new things rather than take lessons. But after some vain attempts to learn piano myself, I found Dave. He is the most amazing teacher. In every class he combines the mechanics of playing the piano with music theory and history. It's a tour-de-force that makes classes interesting and valuable.
Even though we have had to go virtual of late, he is still able to make our sessions fun, interesting, and valuable. And he can't hit my knuckles with a ruler over zoom! (Just kidding, Dave!)

I was a student of David Glebas for many years - not only was he my teacher, but he was also my friend. David Gleba embodies the two qualities that make a wonderful piano teacher - patience for his students and passion for his craft. I highly recommend David Gleba!

David’s lessons are well structured and suited to my interests. His sense of humor and enthusiasm create a positive atmosphere. He has a genuine interest in all of my activities and scholastic accomplishments. In my particular case, he is more than just a teacher, he has become a friend to myself and my family.

David Gleba is a meticulous teacher of upright character, outstanding musical ability and talent, and tremendous warmth. I could not recommend him more highly to anyone in search of both a master musician and a genuinely caring, invested and accommodating teacher. To be taught by Mr Gleba is a privilege of a very high order indeed!

As an adult student, David's constant enthusiasm and expertise made it a joy to pick up the piano again. I improved more in the first three months than in three years of lessons with other teachers.

David is so talented with such a deep understanding of music that it’s hard to describe without sounding like I’m making it up or exaggerating. He doesn’t just know how to play piano, he has a knowledge of classical music that not many could match. When he teaches, he explains the “why” behind everything. I’m sure there are many teachers that could train a student to play a song, but David makes sure I understand the composition so that it makes more sense as a piece, and so that the next time I spot something similar, I know how to tackle it. He is also very much a perfectionist, and I have come to understand that it’s because a small, seemingly insignificant mistake now will only get worse with more complicated pieces. While I think a lot of piano teachers can teach the basics just fine, David approaches his students with the expectation that they will eventually be playing the most complex classical pieces. After working with David, I would never be satisfied with a lesser teacher!

David taught me in the late 1970's, many years ago! I've had a few teachers over the years. but I can definitely say that David was the teacher from whom I learned the most! A wonderful teacher!

I have been taking classes with David for three years. He is more than just a piano teacher. He is a music mentor with a passion for instruction in Classical style in its most pure form. On his shelves and tabletops lie original manuscripts of his fugues, sonatas, preludes, masses, and requiems carefully penned with a feather quill. They are nothing short of works of art. His level of detail and knowledge is vast. Having studied the treatises of major composers, he cites them often in our discussions on form or style. We examine copies of original autographed manuscripts, and we compare and contrast professional recordings of various pieces in order to come to an understanding of the true intention of the composer.
Dave is lighthearted and friendly, and he possesses immense patience, which is something I appreciate as a slowly-progressing adult learner. He is a master of his craft. Most piano teachers will just have students memorize notes without really scratching the surface of understanding. Dave inspires his students to pursue a depth of understanding such that music is not heard the same way again. I thank him for that.
Classes with Dave are a worthwhile investment. If you are looking for a path to mastery of composition and performance in the Classical style, or if you are a parent interested in introducing this art to your child, please consider it. Students are at a tremendous advantage under David's instruction.

David taught piano lessons to my three daughters and was always professional and challenged them.

It was as if the student was in an institution of higher learning. You were in the library with all the encyclopedias of music for knowledge and a tuitor who gave the student all the exercises and technical ways to develop the skills , and took time and patience to make sure the student got the lesson. The student was encouraged to practise and have good self esteem while having fun.

David taught my 15 year old lessons in our home for almost a year. He not only taught her how to begin reading music and playing the piano but he was great at engaging her in conversation and making her laugh. We were sad when we had to end lessons due to competitive dance taking up all her time.

He is receptive to the needs of beginning students as well as those of the most advanced. His depth of knowledge far exceeds that of any other musician I have ever met. (And he is also a lot of fun to work with.) Studying under David while growing up on the Connecticut shoreline was truly a life changing experience. Saying so is actually quite an understatement.
