Our goal is for all students to learn how to read music. All students are welcome. We mold our teaching style to each individual students needs. I’m a lifelong musician who has studied piano and double bass and specializes in voice and have a great passion for music making! During college, I performed in many of Yale University’s premiere choirs and singing groups as well as the Yale Symphony Orchestra. I worked with High School students from all over the country in the Kaleidoscope Vocal Academy this summer at the Yale School of Music and perform regularly in a professional church choir in New Haven. I offer Piano and Voice lessons as well as Music Theory instruction to musicians of all abilities with a special focus on Beginner Musicians.

My name is Gabriella Xavier but everyone calls me Gaby! I am a recent graduate with a bachelors in Music as well as a bachelors in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Connecticut. My passion has always been music and this love began to grow at a very young age, beginning from just 2 years old. Because of this, it brings me so much joy to see young people start to have a growing love for music, singing, and the arts. If I am able to help someone who is just starting their music journey to grow and learn, it would make dedicating all these years to music worth it.

I have enjoyed a successful career as a singer ( primarily opera ) and am now devoting more time to teaching aspiring singers. I have a deep knowledge of proper vocal technique , which when acquired allows the student to sing any type of music they are interested in. I am comfortable with many genres : classical , sacred , musical theatre, jazz and pop I speak and sing in English, French Italian and German i also teach piano for beginners up to a five year level . I have a Bachelor of Music degree in voice from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters in Voice and Opera from Memphis State University. I love helping a student develop...
