Harmony Of The Spheres Music
About
My students stay for 6-10 and more years. They advance, develop a community of musicians and develop a lifetime love of the instrument and music.
I love music, the piano and the students. What better way to spend time together?

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
2-3 months of Getting to Know you lessons, with training in the approach to the piano/technique. Theory if needed, including how to read music. Notespellers if needed as well. Gradually working into age/level appropriate repertoire.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
MA in Music
35 years Opera directing, 14 years of running my piano studio, 24 years of individual piano study
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. See my website.
How did you get started teaching?
After years in music theater and opera, opened my own studio in piano.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, 5 and up, adult as well as children. Upper and low income (in an afterschool program). Looking for motivated, interested students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My 2016 Holiday recital in my studio. I hold 2 recitals and 2 workshops every year, and yet the Holiday coming together is the sweetest, and most meaningful. We sing as well as hear the pieces the students, adult and child, have prepared. Moving.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they ask you if you are serious, have a piano and will practice.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do they want to take the time to learn a difficult and beautiful instrument. Do they want to teach their ten "children" (fingers) how to speak the language of dance on the keys. Do they want to develop patience and vision for their own expresssion.
