I'm learned so much in just my first class!
The one on one sessions are always great! The conversations, discoveries, techniques, and literature pieces are always a pleasure to experience. Carlyncia provides tools and new ideas to really challenge me to hone, own, and perfect my craft in the best ways. Always polite, flexible, and a joy to be around and learn from. ViaJ Studios is a great resource to have.
Works well with clients schedules and is incredibly flexible. Gives helpful feedback and is always transparent with clients.
I like to get an idea of what the specific goals of the student are and their background of any training and/or experience. From there, we customize a program together keeping in the forefront how each part of the training moves them toward those goals.
Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Musical Theater, Howard University College of Fine Arts.
It's a gift I recognized at a very young age as it came so natural to me and those I taught were so receptive!
Live and recording vocalists, film, stage television and voiceover actors, on camera hosts and corporate executives wishing to polish their delivery through professional development.
I'm fond of every event that reflects a spirit of unity among diverse groups of people. It's humaity at its best!
I would encourage a student to ask questions that are meaningful to you even if you feel they may not be pertinent to the training. There's a lot that can be learned on both sides beyond the art form. It's all relative.
I would recommend the student think about their commitment level and express that upon meeting with a teacher. Looking to study the craft as a hobby is much different than studying toward a profession. The teacher will be much better able to assist you in your goals when they are clear of your expected outcome.
